While working at the Tocquigny advertising, interactive and design agency as an Account
Supervisor, I had daily contact with Amanda Grant at Seagate. Tocquigny provided marketing
and advertising strategy to Seagate, and Amanda and I worked together closely on several
long-term projects.
When Tocquigny landed the Seagate account in 2003, Amanda and I began to work together
on projects immediately. Over the course of the next year and a half, we talked on the phone
or via email every day on a variety of projects.
The agency/client relationship is not always an easy one, but Amanda and I were always able
to cut through the clutter and get things done. She can easily explain the concepts or specifics
behind a project, and is excellent at organization, scheduling, planning and the minutiae of
long-term projects. She’s highly responsive, and always pleasant, even under stressful
circumstances. I depended on Amanda for inside information that allowed me to do my job, and
she was always there with the answers or details I needed.
But the thing I came to value the most about Amanda was her ability to cut to the chase – she
was always willing to work together to find the best solution to any issue, and to get it done
as expediently as possible. She always worked side-by-side with me and the others on the
team rather than delegating or passing off projects – her sense of fairness and teamwork is
deeply ingrained and it’s important to her to do good work.
I enjoyed the time we worked together, and I’d definitely recommend Amanda as an employee.
